Need help with PC Parts

Hi.

im planning in about 1month or 2 at most to get a new Mother Board + Chip + Ram and maybe a 500 gig drive, but i have around R4000 max R4500 so not sure what to look at or where to go, ive had AMD for like ever but most people say go intel but when it comes to intel i realy dont have a Clue.

so all who could give me some advice on what to get to look at would be great thanks..

GFX card i got that is a 9600 GT DRR3 512 meg, so that the card that ill run with what i can get for the price above.
 
For mobo look at AMD AM socket 3, for chip I'd prefer Lays but Simba isn't bad either, Ram , get as much as you can afford.
 
Should be able to fit either an i5 750, or AMD Phenom 965 in there
Both CPUs come in around R1750
4gb DDR3 1333mhz RAM comes to about R1100
Leaves you with R1200 for a mobo, you'll get slightly more value from an AM3 (AMD) motherboard, but you'll still get a solid one with the intel route.
HDD will come to about R450
 
Havent followed the intel boards too closely, but for AMD you are safe with Asus, gigabyte, msi, biostar. Anyone really, they all come with 1 year warranty at least.

Basically the same for Intel, just dunno about the Biostar. You can also buy Intel's range of mobo's but I'd stick with Asus or Gigabyte.
You really cant go wrong with i5 750 or PII 965... Get what your heart desires :)

But ya, both are good. Pick whichever gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling

You can get:
i5 750 R2000
P55 board R1000 + (You won't get anything special but it will work)
Ram 2 x 2GB R1000
500GB Harddrive R500

Board:

ECS A790GXM-AD3 AM3 DDR3 PCI-E 2.0 R935.71

HDD:

Western Digital Caviar Black WD5001AALS 500GB SATA2 7200rpm R618.88

Ram:

TEAM PC3-12800 DDR3 4GB Xtreem Low-Voltage 2x2GB Kit - CL 8-8-8-24-2T, 1.65 R1363.28
 
thnx for all the help, ill look at them and post a final thing just before i get it, and see if its all cool :)
 
who are they and where as im in P.E

just looked at them not sure if it is but seems like they got like no stock or sold out, either that or they dont carry new Stuff
