Need help with Wimax...

Hi all...
so my cable was stolen again...4th time this year.
So telkom is saying that they will not be replacing it. But they can give me wimax.
There is reception but they cannot guarantee it.
How do I go about testing for reception? they do not come to your etc etc.

Now my favour
Is there anybody in the midrand area that i can borrow this type of router to check connection?
Or come to my house to test it?
I will of course reimburse you for your time and effort!!

Have u tried Neotel's wimax or checked if you're in their coverage zone?

You should also look at http://www.amobia.com/consumer_services/index.html. a friend of mine that lives in midrand uses this, his connection is more stable and ping is lower than ADSL

I like the telkom one cause i can use any adsl package with it....albeit 512...
can i do that with Neotel? Have my "line" with them but adsl through mweb?

Telkom have a 14 day period during which you can cancel no questions asked, I wanted to try out WiMAX so I ordered it, on day 12 I sent in a cancellation ... it was credited on my next invoice
