Need some advice! Audi TT or SLK

Why are these cars associated with hairdressers?

How many hairdressers in South Africa can afford either of these cars?

The SLK is a much nicer ride, IMO. The TT is nice, in the sense that the first Turbo kicks in as soon as as you pull off, so you have power all the way through, but I prefer the SLK. It's much more classy and looks better than the TT

The TT is a single turbo isn't it? Its not a supercharged and turbocharged engine like the polo gti afaik

Yeah, but only Audi drivers try to be gay with their cars by driving it up your tailpipe.
VAG = Classless & Common

Seriously you're going to spend hundreds of throusands of rands on a car, and you ask people on the internet whom you don't know to make your mind up for you?

Either you're a retard or just bragging.

Ouch! Look, Im obviously not going to be making any important decisions based on an anonymous internet forum but since this is going to be my first major sports car purchase it doesnt hurt to get as many opinions as possible from as many different kinds of sources, be it friends and family or this forum, which may contain people who own the mentioned cars. I mean, isnt this one of the reasons internet forums exist?

My choice would be the Audi.

I figure the SLK is a much better drive but my luck with merc reliability is bad. It may not cost anything to get the car fixed but its still a nuisance.

might you be interested in a c-class coupe?

Either he is jealous or just an ârse.

Neither car does it for me, although both are better than a Boxter. Look elsewhere, The Nissan 350Z Convertible is nice. Or the bigger Audi Cabrio (if you can turn off those silly daytime lights).

I'd go for the C-class coupe before I go for an SLK. None of the other options mentioned here have style or class.

Yes - I am 100% VAG free. I own two GM cars because GM is better than VAG.
Good for you. I've owned 4 Opels, two of which were OPC models, and after changing to Audi I couldn't be happier...especially in the context of GM's rapidly declining quality and the unsure future of Opel.

Brand loyalty is bullsh*t. Buy the best product that anybody can offer you. i.e. if BMW offers me something better than Audi can next time I change cars I will certainly give them my money.
