Need to clean registry

Good afternoon.

I am trying to install the trial version of PhotoShop CS5. During installation, I get an "Error 20". Google has brought up results telling me that the registry has some problem and needs to be cleaned.

All good registry cleaners look for faults and find about 250 of them and then I need to buy the program.

Registries and cleaning them is not something I am familiar with. Can you please advise what to do here or point me to a good once off registry cleaner?

I realize this is months old but posting in case somone else Googles the error the same way I did and comes across this thread.

I received this same error when I was attempting to install the trial. Somehow the install directory was set to "Read-Only".
Once I unticked that it installed just fine
