Neo-wimax offering

Yes but their base station might be at a different site. Unless your house is completely surrounded by trees or other buildings?

Trees... I'm screwed, I have edge, bad ADSL and now no WiMax..

@oliverwww, I am in Lonehill and have the business WiMAX, we connect to the Kyalami station or whatever. I guess I am fortunate to have LOS to it... Have you asked about their LTE offerings?

I also do not have signal for LTE or 3G.. I'm near the river, but more towards Beverly. Extremely week signal/adsl/coverage spot.

There are hundreds :( If I look into the distance all I see are trees.

@oliverwww, who told u that the wimax offerings were synchronous on the speeds? I am being told that the 6mb offering has an up speed of 2mb

(Which is pretty decent already)

But yeah, I can't really get a clear answer on this either. Olverwww - you requested residential Wimax right?

This was a good indication of the upload speed, but I guessed this is not officially the case.

Yeah it's not official, but the installer that did ours said upload isn't limited their side,so what you can get is what you do get type of deal

While it could be awesome, I guess then there's also no minimum indication of speed which could be even worse...

They gave us a minimum of 1meg

To be frank,I don't think their systems are very rigid in managing it

Ok, that's pretty decent for a 2 meg connection! Really considering getting Wimax now...

The salesmen at Neotel in Cedar Square. Hmmm....

Hmmm. I think the word you were "hoping" to hear is symmetric (6 down & 6 Up) - or rather asymmetric (6 down & 2 Up), So Salesman/person @ Cedar2 is inadvertently correct!! Ha ha,
