That is where my concern comes in. Neotel's gives you 10GB and charges you 17GB, putting it in the same price bracket 4MB ADSL. If this is not the case, I would move over, seeing the I have excellent coverage.

I dont get that either. You can setup a proxy and Wifi your hood up to use your connection on the USB device.

Ok.
I didn't know that ICA(N)SA had to give the "OK" on that as well.
I would've just thought, that Neotel have the spectrum and can do with it what they want.
But if what you say is indeed correct, then we should get some clarity on this issue.

Would you all know if Neotel is being limited by ICA(N)SA in this regard?
The lack of an uncapped on Neoflex that is.

Note to Neotel: Please don't insult our intelligence with stupid comments like this in a press release. Your planning was up to crap - get your house in order. We will happily support you if you meet us half way with up to date and accurate information - even if you are experiencing difficulties!

Had to laugh. When the page to check the coverage on the Neotel site was loading it said: "Waiting for coverage.neotel.co.za".

I thought that was a bad omen, but hey, it says I have excellent coverage.

What's this NeoFlex? This other guys asked me yesterday what was better, Neotel wireless internet or ADSL. That was the first time I even heard of Neotel internet. So what's the deal? Is Neotel already offering internet, or will Neoflex be their first internet access offer? I went to the website but I couldn't find any pricing. Is it still speculation?

I see now in the Netherlands they have a home cable internet option. 120mb/s down and 10mb/s up. Now that's a home package. Unlimited data. For about R685 per month. Now that's high. But look what you get! God dammit I wish we can get that!

They have to permit the pricing points, can you imagine that the entire broadband division had to be released from certain state owned business' because of pricing? I would hate to be the whipping dog after that beauty :eek:
 
I have Neoflex coverage, but a big thing for me is, what do I do with the device once I decide to stop using Neotel? I can't resell the device or use it in the future if I do decide to make use of their services again. As it stands at the moment you have to buy a new device everytime you subscribe even though you may already have a device.

That is a huge entry barrier for me, and would make me hold out with ADSL for some time to come. The rest doesn't bother me though.

Ok, I may be wrong, but from what I've heard, you don't get discounts because you already have a device. I have seen a post or two on the forum that states that you have to get a new device everytime you sign up - making the device a doorstop when you cancel.

I may be wrong, but that what I've heard and read on this forum.

I will send them an email and hopefully the respond and can shed some light on this.
