Neotel Bandwidth meter

I have been running a leaked version for the past 2 weeks - it's pretty accurate actually :)

here's a screenshot

I don't think you read the posts below correclty.
If you see what phase 1 is, thats a usage NOTIFICATION system, that sends you a mail every day containing usage in volume.

Phase 2 is a portal, not a monitor app like you are showing.

I'm running VNSTAT and its spot on. Glad to see neotel bandwidth usuage agrees with VNSTAT so I'm not too phased on the Friday release of the bandwith usage link.

As per usual, we just do not know which IMMINENT FRIDAY * it will be.

* IMMINENT FRIDAY is a trademark of Neotel :D

Don't worry Hugo its a joke we say in the office when there are delays in deploying our new software.

SALES PERSON: You said it would be live Thursday!
DEV GUY: Yes, but I never said which Thursday!!!!

Lets face facts. This bandwith meter / software / online tool will never happen. This thread will run for another 3 years and we will still be asking the same question.

Why don't they just go uncapped on all their products. Then they won't have to waste their time with the bandwith meter. I really thought that Neotel would would bring true internet/broadband to South Africa.

rph72 - i need to clarify this for once, it was not Neotel who stated that CDMA is a broadband product, someone in the public started this and since everyone else has just been going with that.
Please send me the article where this is claimed or where it was posted by Neotel.

I am with you rph72. One would think that they would introduce uncapped by now for most of their offerings. And lets face it, the phone function is just a add on benefit. I do not really use it as most of my friends and family only have cell phones and my company pays for my cell phone calls. So when they say its a bundle and we get a big deal its not so true. Wonder how many members actually use up their free minutes in a month? I would like to go back to Telkom but they wont install lines so I must sit with the next best thing. NEOTEL.

"NeoFlex Data: A solution that presents a multi-user, high-speed, high-capacity data service and is best suited to small home offices, SMEs or high-data usage home users."

You may not call this Broadband, but this sounds like a pretty good definition of broadband to me.
