Neotel Bandwidth meter

Well, I got tired of waiting. I had uncapped for a few months - the only option where they can't screw you with mysterious usage stats, but now they are not competitive anymore in that space either. So I cancelled.

I'll keep the device, since I had to pay for it, just in case they sort out their issues someday.
 
I have a feeling that they are holding back on the bandwith meter because they are planning to launch uncapped across their consumer product range. That will also kill the need for prepaid bandwith. Whether their network will be able to handle it, is a different matter. :rolleyes:

Well if they do roll out uncapped across all their products I won't be surprised if their entire network crashes like it did in Feb last year. If that happens I'll refuse to pay for what will likely be another two months of a non-existent connection as was the case last year.
 
Maybe their network will be up to the task now. Getting nice speeds on my NeoGo. Or is it because everybody else left?
 
Well uncapped wont help coz i cant even finish my poor 5 gig of crap with my uber 5kb DL rate ..... My trigger finger is itching
 
I am happy with my connection. The thing is that I cannot get confirmation of how much I have exceeded my cap. The call centre cannot tell you, not even their walk in centre at N1 City.
 
Good news, I just heard that it will be available on Friday!!!!

... just not so sure which Friday it will be though.

Im part of the actual testing now, looking good so far.....

Update:

We've now changed delivery addresses for the notifications on data usage to private mail addresses, and today was meant to be first delivery to it.
Nothing so far...
To our internal work addresses it was delivering everyday without fail...... hmmmmmm

Will keep everyone posted.

Why on earth would we want our usage mailed to us on a daily basis? Just create a web login where we can query the usage DB per our login tied to a start and end date? This is not rocket science Neotel....

Update:
Notifications are now being delivered daily to private email adresses. Looking good and good progress.
A portal to view and login into is rollout phase 2, scheduled for later the year.
