Why go through the trouble of digging up over 1000 km of dirt when you can just lay a cable at the bottom of the sea?

I would still like redundant national transport rings as well to connecting all major cities though.

They can lay 1,000 cables between RSA, USA, Europe, AUS, Japan, etc...
We can have 1,000,000 TeraByte International speeds.
An oversold local infrastructure with k@k download speeds is not going to get that 1,000,000 TeraBytes to your home...

Neotel Remains a NeoFlop. If it was not for no Telkom infrastructure in my estate, I would have taken their dumb phone attached it to a brick and slinged it through their NEW Store window!

neofail is simply not able to handle a carrier grade network, come on now, what are the chances of all three cables failing at the same time?????? it will be impossible if all were tested and maintained according to schedule.

again, I think the great cable company seacom signup a 3rd rated provider for africa's biggest economy, also huge fail for seacom on that, and ICASA should seriously consider revoking neotel's license, they can't provide consumer service and they can't provide back haul services. I honestly don't know what they are good for.
