Hi guys, first thanks for a fantastic site.
I was thinking of jioning Neotel and getting NeotelFlex Data 10Gig Prime for us at home. Daughter loves surfing the net etc and myself. Checked , it says we have excellent connectivity.
Now the question is do i jion after all the threads I have read, saying 1. no or bad connectivity, 2. Slow speeds, and so on. Many people not happy with Neotel.
Are there any of you out there that are getting very high speeds and enjoying Neotel. 3.1 Mbps
Please can you give me you opion. Thanks
Vaughan

We are using it and apart from a few small hiccups it is a stable, fast and affordable option. It is typically difficult to distinguish between the Neotel NeoFlex service and an ADSL 4 Mbps connection.

I would certainly not hesitate to get it if I was you…but look what the other guys say as well.

Nothing but slow speeds and constant hang ups .... and that's in an 'excellent coverage' area. If you're in a pickle (can't get anything else) and need to surf the net, go for it. But otherwise, stay clear ....... just from my experience with them. I even find myself telling people how much better Telkom is :D

Had it and dumped it. Check out the comments on this site and Hello Peter.

You did not say where you live?

Happy with it and one my buds at work is over the moon with his Neoflex - I want to upgrade to Neoflex too now.

I live very close to @JMRHOWES and I get pretty good service on my Neoflex router. 10GB. In Robindale in Randburg. Speeds are good latency is OK, service is up most of the time.

Not perfect but much better than a 384ADSL link in my opinion.

I have it at my flat and I honestly don't know the difference between it and my 4mbps ADSL line at home. Its fast, and stable never had any trouble with it at all.

Only difference between us, is that I have the Prime Device, and since 5 Feb 2009, have had issues.

Neotel has said I should cancel my contract, as there is no line of site, and interferance.

This does not make sense to me as before the 5 Feb, everything was 100%.

Hi
The area I stay is Hatton Estate, Pinetown, Durban. Some you say you have a excellent connection but still have problems. Really do not know what to do. At the moment I do have ADSL 512 , but thinking the Neoflex 10 GIG would be faster.
Thanks

Hi there everyone, I'm thinking of going with Neotel lite uncapped, does anyone have good experiences with it, and would i still be able to line up my torrent downloads, however slow?

my 2c - if you can get any other service besides neohell, then don't even consider them - I cant even begin to tell you what a nightmare it is dealing with their "no" customer service.

OK guys lets look at it like this, Neotel is just starting out...
Ya there's gonna be bumps on the way but it happens to the best of us. With most other ISP's they use a telkom line, while NEOTEL is transforming the way we think of data communication. Give them some lack.

Phone Neotel in Durban and ask for a test unit.... thats what i did.

I'd say yes. I've experienced both very good and very bad days on Neotel. My connection absolutely rocked, and like RPM said, was about the same as a 4Mbps ADSL connection. Very reliable compared to the HSDPA I was used to.

Then I experienced a period of about 2-3 weeks of disconnects and inconsistent performance. Took this up with the Neotel rep on the forum and it was sorted. My connection is schweet once more. My experience is that overall NeoFlex is a great product, and that if you experience problems Neotel will try their best to assist you.
