Neotel Rep

what use is a company rep when he/she/it never posts anything?
 
Let me pretend to be the rep for a bit :P ... here's what they told me:
- They are looking into Data only packages
- They are looking into a unit that doesn't suspend the internet connection during a voice call.
- They have now been made aware about the no ethernet port problem.
- There are definately still more packages coming.
- In terms of a 24 month contract, its not a true 24 month contract as you can cancel at any time. The only fees you pay for cancelling are the full payment for the month that you cancelled in, any outstanding call charges you made, and the device rental for the remaining months of the contract ... on NeoConnect Prime: X months times R80 per month, on NeoConnect Lite: X months times R40 per month. In essense its a month to month basis ... only the device is in a 24 month contract which is understandable.

The next person to tell me that it's not a "true contract" is going to get my foot up his %&*! :mad:

It is a 24-month contract, no matter how you slice it! There will be the South African mandatory 3-month period between notifying them that you want to "cancel" and it actually happening. As soon as you put ink to paper, they have you right where they want you!

That's just the way corporate South Africa works, sad but true. And that contract is absolutely guaranteed to contain more loopholes than anything else.

Mark my words, they will find a way to make you pay!

That's why I want ABSOLUTELY NO CONTRACT! :mad::mad:
 
I spoke to the dude ... he confirmed with his supervisor ... the contract is canceled the same month. And p.s. I have a iron a** ... good luck ;)

Don't believe everything you hear.

Only a lawyer with 20 years of experience and a degree in ancient Egyptian languages can truly decypher a contract like that.

I HATE CONTRACTS SO MUCH!!!

P.S. Sorry about the personal attack, I just hate contracts so much! Especially if you sign a debit order. You just can't win. :p
