I think the implementation of wireless internet access on behalf on Neotel was merely a form of prematurely breaching the markets and paving the way for their real services come July/August.
As far as I am concerned its firing quite well, you hear Neotel quite often, the man on the street is starting to become aware of the company, now take note that their true infrastructure has not even yet been implemented and already they have a semi-functional advertising campaign on the road.
So yes, the wireless offerings from Neotel was merely a marketing launching device for their company here in SA.
I believe come July/August we will see some very good pricing all across the board as Tier 2 data sellers turn to the Seacom data units, which I had heard from a source will cost R400 per unit, opposed to buying from Saix at R1200 per unit.
