Neotel scoops up cheaper bandwidth

Best those boys don't have to chew on their words .... i want my bandwidth un-caped/shaped by mid june.... dont mind paying 750 for it.. just give me fast reliable service for which one does not have to count every bit....

Completely agree with you . uncapped/reliable/fast .... not too much too ask in 2009 , is it?
 
Neotel is a poor excuse for a company

I have heard now from a number of people that use the Neotel service that after applying for the handset and checking their coverage, which was perfect at the time of application now have no coverage in their area?

This is the way neotel supposedly does business they provide coverage to get customers then because of a lack of infrastructure to support a large client base they move around their coverage to grow customers while killing of coverage in other areas.

THeir response to all these affected customers , we will cancel the account for your. Well done Neotel greate service!
 
Who are they going to deliver all this bandwidth to? Certainly not their paltry, coverage starved consumer base.
 
I really doubt that we will be getting uncapped internet anytime soon. If the reason why we don't get uncapped internation was because of limited international bandwidth, we'd be getting uncapped local. That is not happening so everyone, prepare to oil your behinds.

It's complete BS if you ask me.
20 - 30kb/s during the day, peaks at 50kb/s at night if you lucky.

Try downloading a game - I dare you... you'll wait a month for a game via Steam etc.

That's false advertising... I can't even watch a YouTube movie (or a movie on Flickr) without it stuttering like crap!
 
I have always maintained that after a flurry of negative comments in the forums in mybb about Neotel then we should expect some hot air article appearing promoting something from them.
I am so appalled with their service in the last few months and last night was the last straw - I have decided that spending R1000 a month for a pitiful 4.5Kb/s is just not worth it.
Neotel I'm sick of your lies and incompetence - I was the first to sing your praises and one of the first to support you but if you don't care for me as a valued customer then I have no intention of using your service. It's a real shame that you have let so many people down.

I can promise you that my coverage is now changed from excellent to nothing.
Now to the agonising process of cancelling!!
 
They can launch all the new services they want, buy all the freaking BW too... but if we can't get it at reasonable speeds... what's the point?
 
I want that bandwidth on a fixed line ! Where the hell is the second fixed line operator in SA ?

Anyone paying R40 for 1 gig of ADSL lately? where is that 80% drop?
