Noetel will be offering services within the next couple of weeks according to a telephone conversation I had on Thursday last week. Unfortunately the person from Neotel did not expand much but it is defenately the CDMA2000 product that will be pushed into the market.

The phone call came from previous communications where Neotel did not answered the questions posed to them, then they decided to give me a phone call.

I must say that I was speechless as I did not expect a phone call but simply an email. If they can give this kind of service for a simple query then I cannot wait for their services to be launched.

I don't know how much info I can disclose so I will limit it to what I have said, but I can say that I cannot wait till their services is in my area.

When they roll out the fibre that was mentioned then I'll be interested. For now, if CDMA is faster than 384 and cheaper than 310 (199+111) I'll jump ship.

Did they request that you not say anything? I would have thought they'd want as much positive noise as possible by this stage.

The phone calls are probably recorded ... and unless they said it ... there will be no proof that you "aren't" allowed to tell anyone.

i think its near adsl and FAAAAR from iburst

The generic optimum iBurst pings are around 60ms. I'm sure it will be similar or worse...

this isn't much of a solution, rather wait for the WiMax or fibre roll outs, it probably won't be as fast as 384 ADSL even if the speeds are higher :/
