Neotel to address consumer concerns

I'm predicting nothing will come of this. I remember a group of people meeting with Sentech to address consumer concerns... oh yea wait, I was one of them... ****all happened...

Just another way for the spin doctors to spin....

So disappointing

The coverage map thingy needs to be enhanced as well (*) * (*) huh?
Oh , I used to be in the coverage area - but now I have none , sad.
Neotel lady said about 4 months ago that there would be extensive coverage in next 2-3 months.
How bad must you be to have people leave Telscum , join you ... and then go BACK to what they hated previously...

i'm actually so tired of all the negative comments!...

RPM - Thank you - am looking forward to improvements!

Negative as they may be it's justified. You have to remember that these folks (being dissapointed once again by a company who promised salvation just so they could line their own pockets AGAIN) have been through this. And now AGAIN have to go through this.

It's dissapointment after dissapointment.

So apologies for not sucking off rpm for a good job done. I'll go on my knees once I actually SEE improvement.

Like I said, spin doctors at work to curb the damage caused by people leaving with a promise of changes to come.

When I see improvement I will believe they actually listened.

I am bookmarking this one ... if Neohell implements strategies to ensure QOS to their existing customers, will that suffice?
I demand pics!

You don't have to remind me about the disappointment of people because of the state of our telecom issues! I know it, read it, am part of it all just as much as you are.

What i'm saying is, its justified to complain (as you say), but to the extent some of the MyBB forumites b!tch and moan on a continual basis is honestly sickening!

As much as I'm just as dissatisfied with service levels, i'd rather just state that i'm unhappy, and move on or help work towards a resolution.

Most people tend to move on rather than work towards a solution because when they do try and work towards a solution these companies usually use everything in their power not to address these issues, or invited users under false pretenses and then turn around (and without the vaseline) screws them.

At some point we get tired of hearing these stories and nothing coming of it. It's almost 2010 ffs

What is it about 2010 that people are so obsessed with - the heavens are not going to suddenly open up and magically transform SA into a first world country.

They are all obsessed about what some Bladder Guy or is it Bladdy Guy said that our country won the bid to host the Soccer 2010 Cup World (not to infringe any rights :D).

Thank you rpm & congrats on a tremendous initiative in getting Neotel to the table. Let's together hold thumbs that their promises mean what SOuth Africans understand that word to mean, not what seems to be the situation in some Asian country close to their hearts!!

It may be a positive move for them to host their "new" call center facility on a Neotel number. It would also help a lot if their "[email protected]" facility could just respond, it remains a huge frustration when (after many weeks, even repeats) you realize you've been posting into cyberspace!

RPM, the NeoRep has previously disappeared (resulting in a lack of quality feedback) and I was wondering if you would be able to arrange a "monthly feedback" meeting with Neotel and give everyone feedback on a monthly basis? After 2 or 3 months we (as consumers) will be able to see whether or not Neotel is delivering on their promises.

at least it seems neotell tries , at least a bit unlike telkom

But why is it that such extreme measures have to be resorted to each time? there doesnt seem to be any "lets provide a decent service" ethic. Instead its a case of "lets throw out the baby, bathwater, sponge and soap and then admit there may be a problem". They have scared a lot of potential customers away with their shoddy service, word of mouth is a great advertiser.

+1

I have been a passively active member here since 2003 - I would probably contribute around here a little more than I have done if it were not for this aforementioned attitude.

If the criticism was constructive and well worded and people were adding value - this forum could really apply some leverage in the industry.
But that value is diluted by repetitive pointless commentary and users with post counts of 1000+ that consist mainly of 'lol'

(I would prefer to see a ranking system - where quality of content = ranking [judged by moderators])

My wish is that people think a little more about what they write, and try to add a little more value - to benefit us all.
