Netflix error - Any help appreciated

Confirmed. Issue is present at 3 different MWEB users using Samsung smart TV's , Netflix crashes with error 'Netflix has encountered an error.' and NW-2-5. Works on phone but not TV. Tried resetting the TV completely, can't even get into Netflix menu to check Netflix logon details. Conenctivity tests fine, Youtube and Internet browsing seem fine. @MWEB CONNECT why is your users impacted but other ISP's are fine?

Looking for posts in other threads also seem to point to MWEB specifically

I have spent today trying everything to get my smart tvs to connect to Netflix. Eveything else works except Netlfix which comes up with the NW-2-5 error code. Sadly, I use Mweb as an ISP. Cant get hold of them and dont think they will be able to help even if I could.

What have you guys tried? You can try the following for Samsung TV's

1) Turn on the TV hold the power button on the remote for 5 seconds.

2) Plug out the TV for a minute or two.

I have an Ematic AGT419 Android TV media player. Same error, NW-2-5. Also tried all the remedies mentioned above, but to no avail. Same nonsense and also with MWEB. YouTube and other apps working.

So I'm not on MWEB but someone on our local Whatsapp group was. Apparently their solution was :
1. Setup a mobile data hotspot on a phone.
2. Connect the TV (maybe android boxes etc too) to that hotspot instead of the MWEB fibre router Wifi.
3. Start streaming the show/movie for a few seconds.
4. Turn hotspot off and reconnect the TV to the MWEB fibre router Wifi.

Might be worth a shot.

I suggested this more up. The issue for me was, once you switch back to wifi, it crashes again.

But heads up, my Disney is working again. Previously it couldn’t also connect

Yeah something broke on Mweb (Dimension Data) that is causing Netflix and DSTV not to work on Apps. Not sure what it is but had a friend complain about the issue also on Mweb.

Ok has anybody been able to sort this out, I have it on all the Xiaomi boxes, Samsung TV, hisence. Not cellphone or pc.

Things are getting desperate, MWEB now 'calming' their customers with mybb articles about the 5 weeks fix time...

(Perhaps they could just be honest in terms of why they in particular are having more problems than other ISPs, and what they're working on to improve things)

well i wont wait 5 weeks if my neighbor has every thing working also on vumatel but using telkom as an isp.
They must think we born under a rock.
