Netflix - for pirates

Search terms? What the hell would that tell them. I'm sure if they searched Netflix vs Justin Bieber they would find that Bieber is a massive concern and they should be "worried".

There are a few others out there, one of the best ones got shutdown at the end of last year and then more popped up.

I also do this. Especially when using chrome. Just seems easier.

It is important to note how they see the threat:

In a letter to shareholders on 20 January 2015, Netflix said that piracy continues to be one of its biggest competitors.

That is a great attitude, provide a service more valued than piracy. simple.

They provide a great service at a low cost.

Some people will not pay for the same content no matter how low the price point is.

That is why they target a market, the essential mission is to get new customers, retain customers and make an income. That some people may be within their target market and others will be outside, add value, and turn the pirates into prospects. You simply can’t make people stop pirating, other than slamming the legal hammer down on them. In this essence it is best to see piracy as your competition than all evil.

That may be true, but as paid-for services improve and costs decrease, it will no longer be worth the effort to try to obtain the same content without paying.

Once our fiber connection is in and we have uncapped we are going to get Netflix. A friend of my sis said he will set it up for us. He knows how :-)

Will be great to have a affordable way to get what you want to watch legally, but still cheaply and more conveniently than trawling for a good copy of what you want on the torrents.

Effort? If it takes an effort to pirate something changes are you're doing it wrong.

Yeah that's for sure...I personally stopped torrenting series becuase it's just easier on netflix and hulu...so I have no issue with the 200 bucks they set me back. Now all I need is a cheaper place to rent and stream movies and then I'm sorted.

Already got the rugby on lock down at 90bucks a month. Just no currie cup..but everything else.

How did you organise rugby at R90 a month? Please share.

I enjoy Netflix but I found quite a bit of movies and series I want to watch is not available on Netflix. Its a bit frustrating actually. Its not the fault of Netflix though, but I can see myself turning to other services in future to get to watch what I want.

Please tell us hot to get Rugby and any other sport.

I would love to know how to get Netflix in SA. Maybe Telkom will get my line to sync at full speed and I will be able to stream to more than one device at a time :)
