Hey guys

I have spent the past week trying to get this sorted out, we have purchased a new Samsung TV and am trying to get Netflix up and running on it.

I have Netflix working on the PC allready.

Whenever I try and access Netflix on the TV i get a UI108 error. At the splash screen for Netflix it mentions that Netflix isnt available in my country yet.

I have changed the country settings to UK and then bacvk to US to get the older version of Netflix.

None of the other apps work either.

When I access unblock-us through th ebrowser on the TV I only get the first bar...something is worng here.

It does work on Samsunsg because my mate has a Samsung and hos works...but he will bein the states for another 4 weeks so I was hopimng someone here has both Netflix and Samsung TV and casn advise me what they did to fix this.

Do you change region in the menu? There is a short code that you need to enter on the remote in order to change the region and not the ones in the normal menu. On mobile so don't have the short code with me. I have a Samsung TV and could not get Netflix working without first changing the region using there sport code.

You need to change the location back to SA and make sure all the US/UK apps are deleted incl Netflix of course. Then change to UK and let all the standard apps download incl Netflix. Login to Netflix and make sure you can view a video. Then switch off auto update. Now change the region to US and all should be well. You will notice that there will be an update waiting for Netflix which you can now ignore.

The unblock feature isn't working, nothing to do with the software.

Is your router setup to use the correct DNS settings, or did you specify that on the TV? I'd enable all devices on your home network through the router instead of configuring it per device.

I also have a Samsung "Smart" TV and it's just a waste of time. I bought a Roku and it works brilliantly

Once got into this kind of conversation when I was battling to get Netflix on my LG "smart" tv , ended up getting advice that even if it worked I'd be better off with a Roku. So I'm now waiting for my little Roku3 to arrive i'm sure the experience is much nicer with a dedicated streaming device :)

Hi guys

Thanks for all the support

I got it working eventually, seems for some reason it gets unhappy with the Unblock US dns settings... in a nutshell what happens now is.....

I connect to the wireless network and I get " connected to the network but not to the internet " message.
I switch the TV on and off
Try again
It connects (dns settings are set to obtain automatically)
It generally connects...if it doesn't I just try again
THen I open the unblock us homepage on the Tv with teh TV's browser
Confirm that all 3 bars are green
BEFORE I open Netflix I go to my home PC and sign out of all Netflix devices
OPen NEtflix on TV
Boom
it works

I don't have to repeat this process every-time... only when something switched off my router. Power shortage, dog running with the chord, technically unsavvy house mate unplugging it because he needs the two prong adapter...etc etc etc

So far its been working for a full day and night without any interuptions...buffers alot but I upgraded my line today so here's hoping
