So I've discovered I can't use my brothers Netflix account on my TV anymore but for some reason it still works perfectly on my cell phone. Why is this?

If I'm not allowed to use his account then surely the Netflix app on my cell would also say "not my account, etc". Just seems bizarre.

Their anti password sharing software does not (yet) have the ability to detect your phone is also not related to his household...

Just wish there was a way to get the account working on my TV. Yes I'm a cheapskate. Oh well, looks like I'll have to spend the R199 bucks even though there is only one show I want to watch right now. :(

Just request to add it to the household and he needs to verify it on his end.

And that's it? Sounds too easy, then everyone could do that and get away with it. :D

Not that I would complain. Thanks for the tip. I do pay for Apple TV and Youtube Premium, so not a total cheapskate, I just can't find myself paying an additional R200 for the one odd series I want to watch and then nothing for another 2 months.

It works up to a given amount of devices it seems.

My father in law and my mother share my Netflix and only one of them can use it at a time.

The moment I log the one in then the other logs out.

But my own home hasn’t been affected at all and like you’ve discovered using it in browser or on mobile seems to keep working just fine.

Why don't you just go sailing on the high seas? Surely that would be cheaper? Well free.....
