Netflix user profile can be bypassed

Hi all. I activated netflix a few months ago. And also did register 4 user profiles linked to the account via the netflix webpage. 2 accounts locked with pin entry (full access). And 2 profiles on kids profile only.

This caused endless nagging on my kids, due to limitation of the library on the profile. Now here is the kicker.

My son simply deleted his profile, on the andriod tv. And created new profile on the tv with FULL access to the netflix library. I even tried on my own password locked profile, and it works.

Does anyone get the same problem?
 
Any advise resolve this guys? I have reported this to them but does not look there is anything happening yet to resolve this.
 
Tell them not to do it. You can review what they watch and if they don't behave take the remote away.

Do you have children? Clearly you have a lot of time on your hands to police them. Even the best of children will do things behind your back without your knowledge.

Ever hear about 'prevention is better than the cure'. The thing is Netflix is advertising profile locking as a feature.

Yeah - I have kids. You do know you can, at your leisure, review everything that has been watched on any profile, right?

Prevention would be teaching them to be responsible and respectful of your wishes. Teach them that and you won't have to police everything they do.
 
Deleting profile WIPES ALL YOUR PROFILE HISTORY OFF. You start from scratch. But never mind. We are getting off topic here. My question was there any way to get netflix to fix the problem?
 
There is a setting to require the pin to add new profiles isn't there?

At age 12 you do realise he's been jacking off like a champ for yonks already. Or do you want him to jack off to your wife's wedding photos? :thumbsup:

Refresher course on very top of post. 1account = 5 shared profiles. Revoking access means have to delete entire account to prevent access. Defeating entire purpose of this post anyway
