The way they're holding onto the value of the sports channels, a sports package alone will be at least 70% of the full package price anyway.
 
I've compared the UK Netflix with the South African one .
For one - no Doctor Who. So I'm sticking with Unotelly for now.
Strangely enough - the Tablet I sideloaded Netflix on before they opened it up - I can't install tne newest version - it complains about the regional settings, regardless of what I do. Anyone else have this issue? Or is it time to reset my trusty old Galaxy Tab2?

If I was into sport I'd just visit a friend to catch up. No need to go to the pub every time.
 
Ok so my first test US account for netflix i did a while ago (2013), which i only used the free trial and never activated it fully is allowing me access and it cannot find my account if i say lost password.

Also, I see unotelly have made it simpler to use since then as I used http://unblock-us.com/ which does the same thing, also allows region switching. So I have 2 questions:

1) Which would you recommend unotelly or Un-block? The only issue I found from using unblock was that every now and then you would have to go the the website to reset the dns or restart the router. Does Unotelly do this as well?

2) how do i reactivate my old US netflex account through local netflix. That way I can still activate the US stuff when i go back onto Uno or unblock, but will have local access for now and not have to setup a new netflix account.

A nice feature of Unotelly is their Filmefy site which lets you search for a particular movie or show on nexflix and then switches to that region for you. http://www.filmefy.com/

I can't think it's about rights either - Netflix has to have known for a long time it's expanding around the world and would have been really stupid to give exclusive rights to other players. And Netflix ain't stupid.

The Netflix Originals that were broadcast on DSTV (so basically House of Cards and Orange is the new black and some kids shows) probably won't be on Netflix until next season.
 
I have been using the free http://www.tvunblock.com for the past 2 months for the US content.

HD 720p/1080p

When viewing on a PC both Chrome and Firefox will only show 720p
Edge and IE will ramp up to 1080p - possibly also 4K - have not tested 4K.

Most cheap streaming boxes including Android boxes also only stream 720p.
Only boxes like Roku,PS, Nvidia Shield can stream 1080p or higher. This is due to Certification having to be given.

The people, use more data, the better economies of scale.
 
Quick question from my side. With Netflix rolling into SA, this will have a major impact on Multichoice, etc as surely Netflix will not be selling the rights of their shows anymore.

Is this an accurate statement?

I need to pull finger and get alternative for streaming sports going.
