Have a strange problem. My Netgear DG834GT loses wireless connectivity at random times. It either completely disappears (the entire network including SSID broadcast) following a period of no internet connectivity. Or it becomes intermittent - a ping shows 50% - 75% packet loss. Needless to say the network is unusable in this condition.

Anyone have any ideas why this would happen and how to fix it?

It's just a reaffirmation of how ****e thinngs really are. Wireless really sucks donkey balls.

Yes wireless has a ways to go but it's possible to create a stable wireless network that works. I had such a network until recently but my router is either old or has a problem I can fix. I'd really like to know what.

Yes, I've tried several firmware versions and now have the latest one installed.

With the firmware version I was running everything was fine for ages until one it suddenly just didn't work any more. Ie. it worked on the same firmware version that it also stopped working on. Also it exhibits the same problem on several versions.
