Why do these idiot manufacturers distribute their product without proper documentation?
That just sucks, 99% of the crap people have is cos the documentation is nonexistant.

Its a crap company who distrubutes crap products with crap support ...

It is a little disconcerting when you post a question in the forum to be met with a response like yours But anyway thankfully there are other who want to help

I don't know what the hell you're on about fivelza?

This was your question:

Any suggestions as to where to start looking?

This was my answer:

google for netgear forums, valuable resource for these pieces of crap

The netgear forums have all the information you'll need. Perhaps I offended you when I called the netgear modem crap? Then I'd suggest something like Netnanny ... OR, perhaps you're just to LAZY to go read the netgear forums and get the answer you're looking for?

Netgear simply slaps their badge and designs a funky case around a DSL solution from Texas Instruments (AR7).

If you actually knew a bit about modems and comms you have known about Texas Instruments and the quality of their designs.

Yes Texas Instruments make good parts, unfortunately it takes more than just a few nifty insides to produce a good product ...

Malec,

Go back and read the help others were able to give, I did go and look at the Netgear forums and it was difficult to find what I was looking for.

You are correct, you pointed me in a direction...if that is what you call help then thankyou...I read your response as none other than displaying you dislike of Netgear products...which you are clearly entitled to!

Peace

I am appealing to anyone who can assist with configuration of Netgear DG834G wireless router and Belkin wireless PCI.

I have installed drivers and software for the Belkin and configured the Netgear router wireless option according to instructions. The signal from the PC software panel for the wireless PCI shows 'excellent' but the icon at the bottom of the screen remains red and the wireless network icon has a red 'X' to indicate no connection.

My ISP is Telkom and I have the 384K ADSL line installed.
