Netgear Router Help!!!

help with netgear

Firmware Version V4.01.27

and its the Netgear DG834G model V.3

I just tested it now, with one account in the router, connected and working, and one account I dialed up with my pc (different accounts).
both were working.
let me know if you still need more help.
 
Was hoping for a kind of more hands on tip than me having to troll through netgear who probably wont reply anyhow. Anyone know why I cant get my Netgear DG834G to dial up a seperate acc when PPPOE relay is enabled. Main saix acc on router, sep IS acc to be dialed hence a kind of half bridge.

PPPOE relay is enabled , second acc gets stuck whilst dialing and hangs at verifying username and password. Refuses to go further, refuses to give an error, just sits at that screen.

Help Wanted.

After a bit of experimenting I think I may have found the problem. You need to use firmware V4.01.27 and not V4.01.30

Seems like there may be a bug with V4.01.30 with regard to it hanging at "verifying username and password".
 
The router is ummmm not allowing me to dial up my seperate acc, half bridge i think this is called, main acc on router, other acc dials up seperately to be used with routesentry. Problem is when I dial second acc it gets stuck on verifying username and password, doesnt go any further, doesnt give any error message...

Anyone have any reason this would happen/fix...

Check with your service provider to confirm that you can have more than one concurrent connection.

Confirmed. The problem is firmware V4.01.30.
Use firmware V4.01.27 for the Netgear DG834G v3
 
I have Version V4.01.27 Firmware, I am ble to establish a connection via my Router as well as via MY PC.

The Problem is that the Connections on my PC seem to disconnect every few minutes.

do you know if its the router or your windows?

try connecting with the router only, then click router status, then click connection status and watch to see if your router disconnects at all.

if it does, then its probably your line. if it doesnt, then it could be windows.

(I have heard some people say their internet connection drops in windows and not when they are in linux on the same pc, but I have never had this problem)
