Ok, with the release of these new Neotel devices etc, will they be able to "adjust" their contracts, eliminating uncapped, inserting that "acceptable usage" kark and basically screw you over like all the other telco's?

Im considering getting neotel, i just had a bad brush with Sentech a long time ago, and i dont want to be screwed over again. How solid is neotel's contract in terms of policy/usage change without notice?

They already phone customers with the unlimited package, and tell them to ease up.

And so it begins. All the incredable bullsheet.

I remember a company called Cell C, that would have shaked the cellphone tree. Ja right, asif they made any difference!

Neotel is a company with shareholders. Why in this owrld would they give you more without getting more? Surely nobody can be that stupid?

Oops, sorry people, you are that stupid. You hear what people are getting overseas and you hope you will get the same. Why do you think that the situation would become better?

I have already been given the option to Upgrade, but have turned down the upgrade until the Rev A Series becomes available in October. As for a Neotel AUP I am still trying to find one grrrrrr.

Have you got evidence to meet those claims? I am on unlimited and been downloading every day for the last 2 months, no one has phoned me and told me to "ease up". I have seen a few others also using the Neotel Unlimited packages also mention that they have no problems with unlimited downloading.

That is a silly comment ^^ *shakes head*
We will always be behind international trends but will start to balance out in a few years time. The situation is better hence the reason I cancelled my adsl line and am using the Neotel service. I have not looked back and am currently much happier that Neotel outperforms what we had for an adsl line.

Funny how I see all the non-Neotel customers are the one's complaining lol Get Neotel and enjoy the persistent service :)

+1 :D
I'm with you, been downloading for the past 4 months and no one asked me to take it easy.
I'm VERY happy with Neotel, their service is excellent, they always return your calls within a day and they actually do something about queries.

Your comment about the non-Neotel customers been the ones complaining is spot on.

Have you got Neotel ? Are you enjoying an uncapped connection ?
Who's the stupid one now ?

-1 To LottaMORON for calling us stupid. No one said anything about getting the same as what others overseas are getting, but i can assure you i am getting better than you are getting:p

Nope, no concisive proof. Only what another poster on this forum stated.

there is no such thing as true uncapped even me with a 24mb connection have to watch my usage if go over 500gb in 20 days they throttle me for 2 days on 12mb then back on to 24mb, it falls under the fair usage policy.. and can assure you all country including the US use this same policy.. the same will happen when you guys get true internet..

I'm on unlimited, due to the novelty factor i've downloaded amounts approaching the hundreds (novelty is wearing off...) , and they called me.

They called me to find how I was enjoying my experience, and thanked me for using Neotel.

Brutal hey.... :p

Those caring bastards!!! :D Now if they'll only start expanding their coverage so that I can jump on the bandwidth wagon....... :(

lol, that is soooo funny.

But don't use all their bandwidth, I want some for when I get coverage. ^^

Only a local that's in the UK (a saffer in the UK, go figure ) could brag like that. Like a poor man that just hit the lotto, revelling in the excess and looking down on the rest. He needs a cookie.

I wonder what a 12Mb connection would cost here in good old SA...probably more than I earn in a year :p

Uncapped 1Gb symmetrical...why have you forsaken me?!?!?

I have the NeoConnect Prime and when I wanted to find out about how i could check my usage I called the toll free number where they told me I had to email them instead. I then emailed them and they got back to me telling me that the message had been passed on to the technical department. So I waited. Two days late I still didn't get any response so I sent another email. Same thing happened but this time I saw that they had CC'd the tech department. Finally I sent a third email to them with them responding telling me that there is no system for consumers to check on and that they can't tell me my bandwidth usage.

Customer service wise that is pretty shocking. The line itself was great for August but for September my max download speed I hit during the entire month was only 40KB/sec. I've recently found out it was due to tower upgrades but an entire month with no notification?

I hope this all becomes a thing of the past and my connection is back up to the 120KB/sec - 180KB/sec it was for the first month I had it.
