Netogy Nova Feedback

Hi

I bought mine about a week ago and haven’t really had a chance to test it properly. Wish it had an aux port, but understand why there isn’t.

A paired a Bluetooth speaker to it, which is use when streaming Netflix, but would not play any sound when playing from Apple TV+

Any idea on what that may be?

I tried a different speaker, happens to be Bluetooth 5, not sure if that’s an issue. But it’s working fine.

What about DTS and Dolby Atmos audio? I only see Dolby Digital Audio in the specs. Anyone that can test it?
 
Installed yesterday as a replacement for an ailing Ematic.

Most everything worked well, setup was a doddle, was offered a download of all apps that I had previously.

Had to login to the various apps once complete, and this is where I have a problem.

All apps are pretty easy to login, except for Disney-Hotstar. That app lets me get as far as entering my mobile number then I am supposed to wait for an OTP. Well, that never arrives, and trying the "receive call" option also goes absolutely nowhere.

Spent an hour on a Disney support chat where we went over how I was entering my mobile number quite a few times, and how it was probably my mobile operator at fault. Finally was told it is being escalated to a technical team.

Anybody else had any success in logging into this particular app ?

I had this issue with Disney+ on my Apple TV. I used my wife's number (same network) and received OTP immediately. So not same TV Box but also an issue

Thanks for the feedback.

Still no luck using the app so I installed a browser, went to the Disney Plus website and tried to log in there. No code received, however the call option actually worked so at least I can view directly on the Nova without having to stream from my tablet, which is a bit flaky.
 
Changed mobile number associated with Disney+ account and all working fine now. Took around 45 minutes to get the change done.

Nova still going well, WiFi connection seems more active than Ematic as is connected seemingly from start up whereas the Ematic I was using would take a few seconds to reconnect.

I actually tried a NOVA and received Dolby Atmos on Tidal , Prime & Apple TV

No Netflix Atmos though ...

Why? Android TV updates work like regular Android updates. Most stuff gets updated through the play store.
Well Android TV 12 has been out for almost a year and the box, as I understand it, is still on 11. So I am interested to know if it can update to 12. With the Litbox if one provided the MAC address to Nology it could be updated. Through the operating system their is no update available.

Not at all. I get regular updates for https://9to5google.com/2018/01/15/a...ps-are-now-on-google-play-for-easier-updates/ on my Mi stick which is part of the OS.
