Network help please

Hi all

ON a local network with 3 computers I have the following problem

MW Modem on via ethernet cable to hub
3 computers on hub, one as host
All running XP
Setup wit XP wizard

The host can get all sites on the internet

The other 2 can only acess international sites, cannot get local sites on them at all

Anybody seen a problem like this before ???
Any solutions ????

Make sure the host is up to service pack 1

Did you use private IPs for your LAN (e.g. 192.168.0.xx) as you should have, or did you perhaps use some SA IPs e.g. 196.xx ?

Ahhh

I think they used 196.xx

Not there right now but will check, network was set up by someone else

I have 4 pc's connected together via a 5-port switch, no 3rd party software (firewalls, etc). XPhome on gateway pc (USB to modem), XPhome on a second and XPpro on other two.
Manually assigned IP on gateway PC (LAN settings) to 192.168.0.1 (subnet mask defaulted to 255.255.255.0) and shared MW internet connection ie. enabled the 3 ICS options and firewall under advanced tab (sentech connection settings). All 4 pc's browse, play games, etc. with no problems. Downloaded ProAsm's BOP pics this morning at 30 KB/s (256k package) [] We DO have problems when my son secretly starts downloading something off bittorrent and doesn't tell us [V] .

This morning on Sunningdale [102] signal 12% (no patch antennas, etc)
and now on Durban North [60] at 27% (ditto)
I am 2.2km from Sunningdale and 550m from Durban North
