Theoretically, we should be able to tap from fiber speeds over the air with our deactivated/unused/ornamental DSTV satellite dish.
I am NOT talking about Satellite internet. More like tapping of the stream.
You can send internet by dish to your neighbor which will receive it by dish, using your internet connection.
So what is the closest Fiber tap-off point that could supply say, 5, 10 or 15 people?
I would seriously consider sharing a 1Gig stream like this. If it means I would get only 10 to 20 Meg's of the stream so be it.
Any ideas?
Also, for those stuck on 2 meg lines, this could be your way out if 10M line owners could share / sell to other parts of Secunda.
Yes-yes, the dish and willing "private seller" and hard ware and who will be in control of the software management and "what-else" issues will be dealt with.
Distance should not be a real problem, the cost will increase to "boost" the signal
Maybe this could be a better deal or substitution until fiber comes around
