Hi, I've had my line with you since 2018 and I don't think I've ever gotten full line speed in this time. I tried logging a ticket for this in the past but eventually just lived with it. Please can you help me finally resolve this?

Here's a link to my speedtest connected via Ethernet to the router that was issued to me: https://www.speedtest.net/result/17410844685
I seem to max in the 60Mbps region but I'm on a 250/250 line

Edit: adding some of my previous speedtests over the last few years

Looks like router or network cable issue.

94Mbps max. I suggest you start troubleshooting there.

Who's your ISP/FNO?

What speeds do you get on WiFi?

Did you try connecting directly with a RJ-45 cable?

Is anybody else using the connection?

Is Sastri a girl/boy name?

Try peak off peak time. Seems FNO line congested related.

I’m with CISP/Metro Fibre

The link I posted is via Ethernet and the pictures are tests over WiFi from the past 2 years.

I’m the only one using it. Sometimes even Teams calls drop quality even though there is no other activity on my network

My pronouns are apple/banana 🤣

100Mb/s Ethernet ports...?

Good call! Thank you. After reading this, I thought that this is valid but then I should be getting atleast 100Mbps.

I dug around my router settings and somehow I had bandwidth control enabled and set to 60Mb download 🤦‍♂️ Speedtests are now around 90Mbps

So I guess I’m buying a new router. Need to do some research and see what’s out there. I’ve had this router since 2018

CISP should be able to upgrade your router for you. I got one too when I upgraded my line speeds.

Just log a ticket with them and ask for a new router. Might just have to pay delivery or something

The Cudy WR1300 works lekker (can do WRT), I got a AX23, going for roughly R1400 most days, works great.
I’ll take a look at this despite the free one. I was researching routers last night and saw the ASUS Rog ax6000. Is it worth paying the premium for this router? Will it lower my ping rates playing on EU servers?
