I’ll take a look at this despite the free one. I was researching routers last night and saw the ASUS Rog ax6000. Is it worth paying the premium for this router? Will it lower my ping rates playing on EU servers?

Won't see much difference. Ping is dependant largely by your ISP.

The only thing a better/expensive router may help with is buffer bloat.

Routers at home in this regard wouldn't affect your latency.
