My mother did this. 'Whatsapp' smsed her to update via a link, and she clicked on it. t installed some kind of virus.
Right on time. That train is never late.
By default, installation of apps from "unknown sources" are not allowed on Android.
So even if that link downloaded the virus, it would be impossible for it to install without any input from the user.
Again, that's user error and uneducation (if that isn't a word it should be) not the fault of android.
What if the whole internet is actually just a social experiment for people.
