New anti Telkom website

More us need to express ourselves in this manner and perhaps Telkom might eventually catch a wakeup! (I live in hope!!)

Thank you, Michael, for so eloquently expressing my thoughts about Telkom in such a public manner. :D
 
Fletcher has Telscum started harassing you yet?
Im sure they will start being silly soon, but rather than threaten you it would be in their best interests to simply resolve your issue so that you take the site down peacefully.
 
while I don't agree with the profanity and visual image on the site... what is ironic is that this is exactly what Telkom have been saying to their own customers for years.

When I was still with Telkom my line was constantly down and the final straw was when the line was down for 2 months at a time. I had 9 reference no for the same fault they said was resolved despite a technician never even bothering to pitch up. I used all the swear words you can at the call centre agents for doing absolutely nothing who I phoned every second day.

And this is not to mention the 8 months period for which I was still billed after my line was cancelled and I visited them 6 times at their branch to cancel this each time.
In the end the only department in Telkom that could assist me was their legal department as all their other departments are useless.

So &*!@ you Michael Fletcher or whatever your name is with your little problems. We know your are only putting up your website with the aim for them to fix you line and will take it off as soon as is gets fixed.

But seriously, if you had so much drama, then why didn't you take the extreme measures? Please don't be offended, but i kinda get the feeling that you want telkom to abuse us like we're in a prison movie, to share your own frustrations. Well, we do. We really and truly do share your frustrations, and although Mr Fletcher chose a myriad of interesting words, i have to commend him for not being a hypocrite. Hell, My dominee has dropped an expletive or two about his dramas with telkom. Don't take the frustrations you have with Telkom out on Michael, the oke has cajones of steel, especially considering the fact that he is liable to get sued for speaking up.

Fletch, i hope the site is hosted in Switzerland, they're nice and neutral, they won't be able to sommer take it down, but i can't see how Telkom would be able to pull of a lawsuit against you. I am not a lawyer, but last time i checked, free speech still counted for something in this country... it's not the USA :rofl:

I agree with Mike, hell most of us do but we are too scared to actually put something like that up ourselves.
The oke is a machine for having done it and not taking it down in panic this morning.
The language is a personal thing for some but I know what kind of pain he has gone through and how it has affected business and his general state of happiness.
 
We should actually go hunting and get together a good list of all the anti-telkom/telkom hating sites :D I'm sure there are more than people think.
 
I tried to vent in your comments but it wouldn't work (IP Logged but no comment) so I'll do it here:

This morning I sent an MMS to my girlfriend. She didn't receive it but MTN still deducted the balance from my airtime. This is a common occurrence that happens when she sends MMS' to me and also when I send MMS' to her. So **** you MTN, and **** you Vodacom.

May I suggest that if you have ANY repurcussions to creating the site, you post them here however unrelated they may seem? For instance problems with your power supply....losing electrical items in your home etc.

Damage to your computer etc..... I kid you not....:)
 
Thanks for the support guys. Not much to report back from Telkom other than an email this morning and a call from the ADSL guys this afternoon to give me new ref #.......

Ill update the site in a little while.
 
I find the website just boring. This is from Bill Cosby with regards to English as spoken, but in principle it applies a little to what's on the website too:
'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.

I can't even talk the way these people talk:

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.

And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
