If it was even vaguely possible, I would be tempted to start approaching Apple to setup a new dealership with them, and seeing how far we could undercut Core...
SA sure does like the high margin low volume model.Because I, unlike most companies in this country, understand that If i make a small margin, I can move more units and more than likely make a larger profit, and have happier clients.![]()
\o/.... Cool..
I have a feeling I'll be in the states at some point in the not to distant future so I will probably toddle into an Apple store there and purchase one.
The specs seem to be the same as before. Is it only the enclosure that's changed?i caught a glimpse of the new imac...my god its beautiful.
i'm moving to the uk next year in order to save money and pay off my bond in on my house in sa in 3 years instead of being a bank slave for 20 years. And i'm going to rough it, but i guess if i need a computer to surf the net.....that would have to be it.
Amongst things they now have faster cpu's (esp overseas where you can get the 2.8Ghz C@D Extreme) and larger hdds.The specs seem to be the same as before. Is it only the enclosure that's changed?
You should ask your bank - if there is a limit they might be willing to raise it for that transaction.Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm going to purchase one of the MacBook Pro's from BHPhotoVideo, aren't I limited to spending R20, 000.00 on my credit card for an overseas transaction? I seem to recall reading this way back somewhere (not sure where, though). If anyone knows otherwise, and that I can spend more than the R20, 000.00 limit, please post here.
The more I think about it you should call them to make sure they dont flag it as a suspicious transaction seeing as it is being done online and on an overseas site.Will do that. Thanks.
(24" iMac + Shipping to ZA) = $2,065.45
$ 1,798.95 + 226.5 x 7 = R 14458.15
