New Axxess 384k Uncapped live

Is this account unshaped after hours, or is it permanently shaped?

Permanently shaped. But I am getting the same speeds as with my old Express+ account so I am very happy. Plus nice saving also :D

Anyone tried gaming on these accounts yet?

No but everything else looks good so far. Only time will tell once they get more users on the system if things slow down. Till then I will take the saving and :D

m0zy did you pay for a whole month just to try it in the last few days of the month?
I asked if they could change my account and was given a very aburpt "we cannot change your current account to the new uncapped service, as they work differently."

Was hoping to test it for the last few days of the month ;_;

Got a new account. Have set my Express+ account to expire at the end of this month.

my speed sucks on my express+ account... anybody else struggling?

maybe all the new user on the IS network is slowing it down?

I'm still 400kb/s with P2P on my express+
Going to give it the switch at month end though.

It's not for automated 24/7 downloading. They clarified this.

Use it like normal waking/sleeping people and it's just fine.

Those that wish to automate downloading for 24/7 use, are encouraged to use the business class products.

Im on express uncapped and the speeds are ****ed, they have dropped to 150, so theres no point staying with them on this account if anything theyve stuffed up the express accounts, definately not worth it now its shaped as well, or is it because of the overload on the new uncapped accounts getting raped sut?, was waiting for the after hour to see how it went, and so far FAIL

i'm also on the express+ and my speeds are also not great always.. seems the network might be taking strain

wondering if i should stay with express+ or just switch and save money, coz if i don't get full speeds the whole after hours, whats the use?

Not having any issues with my Express account - downloading at full line speed. You might be doing something wrong.

I don't understand. Are you using your Express+ now, or did you make an additional payment for an Uncapped account for 6 days?? I figured everyone would do the clever thing, and wait for the end of the month...

I am signing up with Axxess without a doubt they are the leaders in ADSL!!

I'd love to sign up with axxess but I currently have a mail account with Mweb at R55/month so I would only have a R300 price increase with that account if I include line rental.

My mom is attached to her now 12 year old email address and receives about 200 Mail messages a day, of which about 190 are spam and newsletters. My dad also has an email address with Mweb even after I told him not to create one and I have ditched my old email address and am using one with my personal domain.

The pro is that if I change my Mweb account to uncapped, they won't charge me an extra R55 for mail. Now just have to cancel my Cybersmart account.
