new browser - cuil

cuil.com is a search engine, and not a browser. A browser is the pogram you have on your pc which renders the webpages. A search egine is a website which knows what is on the web, and can show you what is out there based on what you are searching for.

There is alot of information out there, and what makes one search engine better than the other is what it chooses to show you. When you ask for say, "cars", it has million of websites with cars, but must only choose a few to show you. This is decided by a complex algorithm, and its decision on which ones to show you decides how good it is.

Cuil is an upstart by some ex google.com employees. They said they had developed a better algorithm than google, but testing has shown google to still be the best.

This isn't a new BROWSER... this is a new search engine is it not?

Everyone starts out as a noob, and hanging out here and asking question will change things fast.

Contrary what we all believe this stuff is not that simple to the uninitiated, and it helps to rather explain than call out NOOB at the drop of a hat.
