New car query

Unless of course what you want is a Ford, then it would be very scandalous if we allowed that to happen, we would have failed in our duties as respectable elders of the forum.
heh. I have no idea if you are 'for' ford or 'against' ford. There is lot of passive aggressiveness there. LOL

He really meant french, but he can be a weird oke when it comes to cars so you never know. I would not be suprised to hear that he owns an Opel.

I think he drives a Mahindra XUV 300. Due to his recommendation, I was tempted to buy it. :)

If I was married to more than 1 woman, I'm pretty sure at least one of them would've tried to kill me to.

I'm only married to one, and I'm sure eventually she'll want to kill me, but alas, we're shitting on Jacob Zuma here, please stay on topic.

So... update!

I went to so many dealerships - I avoided these little ones, like Dart Motors (those types) and for the most part, the dealerships gave me close to what I wanted for my car - a couple tried their luck but for the most part, I got what I wanted at most of the dealerships.

Now, as per earlier in the thread, It was told to me that I had quite a few aftermarket changes on my car and that would be frowned upon however, it seems, many (dealerships) didn't - yes they had questions but because I'm the type of person who you can clearly see looks after his vehicle - they did their normal checks and were happy with the vehicle.

I actually seemed to form a good 'friendship' with one of the dealerships and asked him his honest opinion about my car and he said the following;

• You can see I haven't taken my car to randoms to get the electrical work done - my spots were installed correctly and mounted properly and went to the same place all the time for any electrical work.
• My alarm is done properly and tested regularly (which I do)
• My lip (front bumper) is installed nicely - all the same screws, spaced nicely and not different screws and no washers etc.
• My mags are VW mags, so VW with VW and there were minimal scratches on them and the tyres on them are even (not worn more one side)
• My AC was recently regassed
• Always serviced on time
• Kept clean
• I'm a non-smoker
• I kept all my invoices from day dot - that impressed the most.
• The mileage on the car for a daily use car also is great - bought car on 20k, selling on 114k

These are most of the reasons why I got what I was asking for - it's almost a sure re-sale - they not going to struggle to resale my car.
