new car - suggestions

Ford Focus is a better looking car... Sporty, agressive... The Audi looked good when it came out but now its plain, the ST still looks like a brand new car, not bored of it yet...

Both cars will give you what you want on South African roads.. Audi does have a certain POSH atmoshpere around it compared to Ford, but then FORD has better service...

Both are good choices, sure you wont be dissapointed, but I'd go with the Ford Focus ST, just look at those 2 pictures posted... Cant say the ST isnt a better looking car... Might pick up more chicks in the Audi though, wont have to explain its the focus ST!!! Just say its an Audi ;)
 
isnt a focus st facelift on its way ?? really like that car. But would rather go for the S3, more options, better looks...
 
looked at the options for both cars online and what really pisses me off about audi is all the 'extras' over and above the initial price.

stuff like radio, xtra this xtra that.

where as the ST comes with everything standard already in the price that is marginally more the the A3 sportback. the only thing that would cost extra is leather interior.

so right now from an after market servicing ST wins
and upfront with all the extra's ect ST wins

lets see when the time comes - thanks for all the suggestions

what do you peeps think of charcoal grey/black for a colour?

I must say I love the Honda Civic R... :P

But it wasnt one of the options... The charcoal is a nice colour, just gets hot :) But Im sure you'll have a AC *sarcasm*
 
Black looks hot, but shows even the tiniest bit of dirt. I'd go for gray. Scratches won't be AS easy to spot either
 
Does your company pay for your petrol too? Given the uncertainty of a looming fuel crises I'd take that into consideration.
 
I'd rather get the ST than the A3 but rather the S3 than the ST. The ST is bloody quick.
 
Audi's more sensible. Both models getting facelifted soon. Check out wheels24.co.za or motoring.co.za . Audi parts (after motorplan expires) are hellishly expensive though!
 
the new sportback looks good, particularly the s3 sportback, but nothing beats the price, perfomance and handling of the focus st at R260,000 for 166kW and the new one also looks quite yummy.

ha ha ha...

my company is not paying for my car neither my petrol. the looming fuel crisis / food crisis / world crisis is only going to get worse and worse. i am not particularly phased.

u live once and u die once.
 
I would go for the A3... but i'm not that into speed.
I like a fast car but beyond a cirtain point speed is pointless.

A3 wins on looks, quality and cred. I see a lot of ST's with HUGE dents in them, it either says something about the drivers or the handling... you choose.
