...oh well,not really new.

103 Mnet Xtra
reruns of shows over the weekend for those who missed it in the week due to loadshedding...hehe...22/03

141 Lesotho TV
public broadcast from lesotho...pretty much nothing to show as BBC is on half the time...25/03

261 NeoGeo Wild
26/03

wow...i am breathless.

Mnet Extra is a good idea, I like it. But the content remains the same so I see nothing new. The others are just crap. Animal Planet is sufficient. Waste of our money overall if you ask me!

And when we complain about no widescreen they claim not to have enough bandwidth available.
Now they add another rerun channel, one worthless channel and only one with potential. Go figure

Thanks for the info - do you have a source maybe??

Glad I canceled already. What a bunch of useless buggers. I would like to see what they pay for those channels, and what income they get from advertising on those channels.

Why have another re-run channel? Every other channel is already plagued by re-runs. What is the purpose of having a PVR / DVD recorder / other recording device, when they show the exact same show 3-5 times a week (or more)? I wouldn't even get a PVR if I used Multichoice, as the whole purpose of having one is canceled out by the repeats in the same time slot the first showing.

You can confirm it using the EPG

261 - National Geographic Wild - 0600 CAT 26/3
141 - Lesotho TV - 25/3
103 - Mnet Extra - 1400 CAT 22/3

yes,that's where i saw it...thanks bwana

also,my problem with them.
They are creating too much channels instead of getting real channels.

take Magicworld - older bits and pieces of other crap channels...the result...a super crap channel.

...waiting for the Movie Magic Extra:D

Why don't they just create 2 channels named RR1 and RR2. Then people will have a place to go to to watch reruns, and thus leave people with longer memories to watch new content.

get 5x more for half the price with SKY UK

Not for sports fans. From what i have heard DSTV is way better with their sport content, then most of the UK guys.

Most sport in the UK and US is pay per view!

Because space segment for each channel costs a pretty packet, not that they dont charge us enough!! :(

Reruns may work nicely with the power outtages. I know my girlfriend would swap me for a rerun of the Greys she missed a few weeks ago ;)

Ya, this much is true. DSTV's sport coverage is a lot better than in England even. Apart from that, though, there is nothing.

Why can't we just be able to select the shows we want to watch whenever we want to watch it. Then who needs rerun\repeat channels, in fact who needs any channels?

Who is keen to start a select service? :p

heh, well i must say that the dstv-on-demand service isnt bad. yes everything isnt on there but it's a start.
