New DStv streaming package deal

I believe the "slower than OEM" comes from the early decoder days already :unsure:

Agree, the F1 TV app is "only" 1080p but at 50FPS and a higher bit rate the picture is smooth and clean. Even though i have access to the dstv stream i prefer to pay for the F1 TV subscription. The quality is just far superior

I did too but had absolutely no issues. Set it to 1080p and there was no buffering/issues.
 
Are we able to watch this when travelling abroad?
My issue was that it was activated to be used when not in ZA, only to find that it doesn't work.
When using a VPN it was super slow and the quality sucked. I think we need an alternative sports provider in this country.
 
Well at least DStv finally has a R99 option with a few sports channels, I guess that's a start....

I see Showmax is also R45 right now
 
A lot of noise from Multichoice in the article about the new-new app offering all sorts of new ways to discover content. Would drive me mad, hope that has an off button. I'll pick my own content, thank you.
