New Guild Recruiting

Nice little expo there :)

I've started going to the raptor cave to do a bit of farming ... I'm busy working on a solo build - it's a case of almost but not quite ...

What class are you?

And which campaigns do you have?

Then I can maybe give you a build :)

Hah I only need Proph missions in HM to get the last tile I need for Legedary Gaurdian :D

I've got all the campaigns - Dervish Primary and as secondary I have available at the moment Assassin, Monk, Elementalist and Ranger.

Ill let you know but im sure there is a derv build for farming solo there :)

Still going strong myself. Still lots to do and the nice thing is, nothing is new anymore. I know what to do by now after 32+ months :)
It is basically the title hunters left in the game.
There are still new people starting every day, which is also strange, to a degree.
We are Kurzick now and will be joining an alliance soon. We should be able to get into 2nd or 3rd biggest alliance. These alliances are very busy and chat is always active which is nice, since the other alliances that are not very big, have no drive and simply die with nothing happening in the alliance chat.

I can understand why ANet are changing and applying changes to certain skills. It makes sense. There are skills that are just too strong and then others again never get used and then after a buff you see them being used in builds, after being in the game for 2+ years without seeing any use.

Whats your guild called?

My guild started off nicely, but now the only active members are me and my officers ...

Most of the time noobs join - play for a couple of days and then disappear - its annoying. But me and my guildies are all locals, some of us know each other, so we have our fun. I'm sticking with GW til GW2 is released

Nice I like your attitude - we need more people like you. Whats your nick ingame?

I'm online as Makie of the Mists mostly these days - I'm trying to max as many titles as I can before GW2 hits the shelves.

I share the same goal... but primarily PvP titles. Interested in some PvP? Your guild still running?

The guild is still running ... more or less :p

I'm more into the PvE side of things, although I pop into a couple of AB's from time to time. I haven't invested enough time to get past the random arena's or hero battles yet.

I'm the same shadowfox, but PvE has basically become a grind-fest for myself, nothing really to achieve there anymore, so I am mostly doing PvP type stuff, JQ mostly these days and getting zkeys. Did some HB this past weekend too, etc.

Have been thinking of getting into the PvP scene for several months now, but getting into good HA teams or GvG is very difficult with little or no rank / fame. So, have been doing RA on and off.

I've always wanted to do HA too, but as an unranked individual finding a team that will accept me is tough, not to mention that they don't understand the trials and tribulations of a South African MMO player.

I've tried RA a few times ... drives me nuts though - you get tossed into such random combinations - I start crying everytime I get put in a team and I see a Rit - I've never seen a Rit pull off a good PvP. I'm sure it's possible - but none of the guys I've been with had the skill.

Furthest I've gotten is the 3rd battle ...

Rits make for excellent healers if played correctly. It's not so much Rits as much as it is the idiots playing them. That, unfortunately, is one of the joys of RA. Thankfully I got grouped with excellent players once and we managed to win battle after battle, which unlocked Team Arenas. Then a good organised team there allowed me to unlock Heroes Ascent. Took far less work than I was expecting.

Lol, yes PvP with noobs are always going to be a gamble :p

Found some great players and then I also found some really bad players :o

I made a PvP monk Just for RA so I could get past it, the other monks were useless.

The best way to ensure there's a monk on your team is to play one :D
All suggestions for people wanting to improve in RA and move on to TA and get a higher glad rank is to play a char that you will have the most success in.
This means rolling a monk and playing it in RA. It's a sad truth.

Rits can be excellent, like any other char, it is the player behind it and executing those 8 skills which makes the difference.

If not playing a rit healer / monk you have to hope to get a monk in your RA team, if playing something another char and sometimes it takes quite a while for this to happen... so have patience.
Also, it has been known to happen to get 3 monks in a team when you are the monk, so it goes the other way too :D

Sometimes if a team simply can't beat you (too much defence), they rage quit and you win. It's a great way to ensure victory haha.
