New Guild Recruiting

Luxon... take it yours is Kurz?

Nope, we're Luxon.

All suggestions for people wanting to improve in RA and move on to TA and get a higher glad rank is to play a char that you will have the most success in.
This means rolling a monk and playing it in RA. It's a sad truth.

I've tried that ... I've found that when it comes to monking in a fast paced environment like PvP I can't keep up. Add to that that the other team automatically targets you as well :p

I've found the class I'm most comfy with is an Ele - I can do some serious damage - but alas, my teams just haven't measured up yet. And again, once the opposing team catches on to my spiking, I get nailed in 10 seconds flat :(

I love playing monk in Fort Aspenwood. I must say it was a bummer when they introduced an update that caused Siege Turtle attacks to remove enchantments on whatever it hits haha. In an instant gate bonding was nerfed. But it's still nice standing there healing the gate guard NPCs and them Luxons being helpless!

On another note, I don't hate Luxons. I have R7 Luxon and R7 Kurzick lol. Switched guilds randomly inbetween.

Hehe ... I did nasty things to monks doing that. At least if they got close enough. A combo of liquid flame, immolate, mind blast, burning gaze, immolate and mind blast again finishes off most people quickly :P

Especially with my fire magic on 16 :D

That's why you bond the bonder

I actually haven't bothered with FA since the updates to the siege turtles.

I just got too pissed with the grievers at the Architects, killing them with their AoE 'passive' disease and minions. This happened way too much to my liking, plus JQ gives more faction.

Try this when you have time:

Searing Flames (Elite), Glowing Gaze, Liquid Flame, Meteor, Fire Attunement, Weapon of Warding (Ritualist skill), Wielder's boon (Rit Skill).

Heals, Knocks down, Does a **** load of Pressure and spike damage. Use only one +2 rune MAX - never ever use a +3 rune, unless you're going for some kind of strange build. The loss of life at the cost of 1 point in fire is not worth it. Even a +1 rune does the job quite well with no negative bonuses.

If you use a +1 fire headpiece, and +1 fire rune, +50 HP major rune, +1 Rune of energy Storage, 1 Rune of Vitae while using the +Health inscription on all your armor pieces, you should roughly have 600 hp whilst having your fire on 14 points.

you need 600 hp in PvP. 580 is also ok, but if you are running around with less than 540, you are mince meat.

For that build you will also need a 40/40 Fast casting staff with 20% enchant or +30 Hp (get both if you can, and use the 20% enchant when using your attunement.)

I'll give you the exact attribute point allocation when I get home. its something like Fire 12 (+1 +1), energy Storage 9 (+1) and Restoration magic 9

Ye, it's a nice build that gets used in GvG a lot, even though run with Shatterstone+Steam most times, but it's great for splittability and survivability.
