New HD DStv channel

Yes if you connect RF Out(PVR) to RF In(remote TV) then you can access it, it's on the Xtraview cable if you have that. And you'll need the link eye for remote control.

Isn't that just the heartbeat cable?

I know I currently have the RF out on my HDPVR connected to the RF in on my bedroom TV and I can access PVR content, but its not HD.

Out of interest, if you have two PVRs, does anyone know if the content on one is accessible from the other, and if so, in HD?

If you keep the two decoders in one position, use a 2 in 2 out HDMI matrix and maybe a CAT5/6 extender with IR control to the far TV screen. This will give you full control of both decoders from both screens.

Do you have it connected directly to the TV or to a secondary decoder? I didn't know that signal could go straight into a TV, I thought it had to go through the decoder.

Neither did I with the HDPVR, I did know it could with the older decoders - I was bored so plugged in the RFOut on the PVR straight into the TVs aerial in, searched for a signal on the TV and found it... even the HD channels are converted and viewable.

You do need one of those IR RF transmitter things to change channel at the 2nd TV... I had one from my old decoder

They'll be in seperate rooms.

Its not a major hickup - I'll use the new one to record HD movies for watching on the projector, and the other for recording series.

If I really feel like watching content in the other room - I'll just swap decoders. :p

You can access PVR contents from a second TV if you connect the RF out port to RF in of the second TV. Clear?

Yeah, I was just under the impression that that RF channel had to be recieved by a secondary decoder only (ie. you couldn't plug it directly into the second TV)

Oh... before I had Xtraview I used it like that, and yes the MC call centre drones warned me about how that wasn't possible.
Actually the xtraview manual shows how you can tee the heart beat cable to the tv's RF in to access the primary decoder's functions.

Definitely not possible, think its on their list for the future but that will take years
You might've read you can access the PVR from another room but not via the other decoder

Point 5.
You can view a different channel (live, from the buffer or playback) in each environment, while simultaneously recording 4 other channels at the same time. You can also access both playlists from each environment.

That is possible if you keep the 2 decoders together, but everything will not be HD on the second TV. You have to use a HDMI extender or 15/20m HDMI lead to run HD from decoder 2 to second screen. You can use your existing RF to watch decoder 1 with TV links for remote control from second TV.

Sounds like a bit of deceptive advertising to me....
