New HD DStv channel

Wait, wut? Keep the SD-PVR and use with HD-PVR for more viewing environments.

Edit: My SD-PVR RF-out goes to HD-PVR RF-In for heartbeat = Record 3, Watch 3.
8-way LNB splitter (two extra).
Watch 3 from lounge or from any of other 4 TV's in house.

Actually I already have a 1110+, so I reckon if I plug in a HD PVR where the current SD Dual View decoder is and plug the 1110+ into the end of the line to where my second set is now I should be golden, yes?

Note the Pace and UEC Watch 1 Record 2 HD PVRs can access DStv On Demand. The newer Watch 1 Record 1 can not. That functionality is apparently coming in November.

Multichoice broadcasts in a combination of 1080i and 720p.

and as a btw, 720p is not "half" HD... its just a different standard of High Definition, and the one that is most used by broadcasting companies due to it being, obviously, less bandwidth intensive than 1080p

True, it is HD. However, it's also less than half the resolution (if I'm not mistaken).

1280 x 720 = 921,600 pixels
1920 x 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels

I have given them my fair of schit for that... and will continue to do so actually....

As for the half the resolution, yes... that it is, but its also about half as bandwidth intensive as 1080p... this makes it ALOT more attractive given the cost of satellite bandwidth.

They admitted it two years ago! That seems to have been resolved. On the odd occasion they do show upscaled they put a logo in the corner.

They broadcast at 10mbs. Sky broadcast their HD channels between 6-12mbs, so well within the norm.

Definitely not possible, think its on their list for the future but that will take years

Yes if you connect RF Out(PVR) to RF In(remote TV) then you can access it, it's on the Xtraview cable if you have that. And you'll need the link eye for remote control.
