New HD PVR update released

I rebooted my HD PVR to do the update....and now it comes up with a b:e1 error! and no matter what I do...or how many times I reboot it wont even come back on and the red light under ERROR flashes.

Can anybody shed some light on this situation for me?? Please Im in need!

Usually when the flashing procedure did not complete successfully, this sort of thing happens and you 'bricked' your PVR. If it is still under warranty, take it to Multichoice so that they can swop it out with a refurbished one.

I am sure however that there is some way to force a reflash which will probably fix this problem, but as these units are not really used anywhere else than in SA and maybe the Netherlands, these reset procedures are not well-known by anyone other than the technicians who work on it.

The only thing that you can do now is to leave it unplugged overnight and try it again in the morning before taking it to Multichoice. Sometimes a total discharge of all the electronics can also help.
