New Horizons Certificate

I looked into it.

Don't bother. All courses are online. You do not get any form of tutoring. You might as well teach yourself for free.

I did my A+ and N+ CCNA through them a while back (The courses where very slow though in comparison to others companies offering it, ended up skipping most the vids just going through the text book)

As to the programming at New Horizons they will probably just teach you the basics of the language's that the course is in (java etc.) and fundamental concepts.

University is a much better option depending on what you going to study but make sure you find out what the course\degree involves, trust me you don't want to take half a year the realise this isn't what you wanted or expected.

I did two of their short >courses< a decade ago.

What a waste of time and money.

I think I've been asked once about them in an interview, and it was as a matter of course.

They were outdated for the time when I did them and I was easily able to exceed the course and the instructor.

To be fair, it was a decade ago; maybe things have changed...

Yeah, I did some stuff through them. Taught me nothing. Lesson learned.
