Hi Members
This is my first post so I hope I am doing this right.
I am looking for a new ISP to move to.
I am having endless problems with my current ISP - SAOL - and want to move.
Can I have some suggestions and comments from the Forum on their experiences please.
I have a 4MB line with 10GB per month.
I am also looking for the new ISP to do uncapped local internet (over and above the 10GB)
Thanks in advance.

AFRIHOST is Best

Hi There

I can recommend AFRIHOST 100%.

1. Great service, great deals (I use the buy 25Gig and get 25 Gig free unshaped account).

2. Im so happy with Afrihost, I moved my telkom line over to Afrihost, now I pay even less my for line.

3. My Telkom line were stolen for a week, I emailed Afrihost and Guess what, They will give me credit for the period that my lines were stolen. Now that is service

For the price I recommend you drop to 1 meg and get uncapped from webafrica if you are in the western cape or mweb uncapped if your anywhere else.

You are unlikely to notice any difference in anything but downloads and you will be able to do way more than 10 gigs per month.

I'm on a 1Mbps line with mweb uncapped......and I'm not very happy with their service. Technicians have no clue as to the problems I report. End up fixing it myself. Their dns servers were down the inequality evening and the guy said they don't use dns servers. Lol.

I've been looking for the cheapest uncapped option to move to but alas they are the cheapest........so I will stay until I can afford that extra couple hundred a month.

I have moved all my stuff to WebNow. They also put me on their new Uncapped ADSL which I must say is much better than my previous service provider.

Good advice there.

I agree, Openweb Gold, worth every cent. The service from them is also excellent. If you do run into a problem they normally respond within minutes and bend over backwards to sort it out.

i'm having endless problems with afrihost at the moment, so I am also looking for a new ISP. I'm leaning towards openweb gold at the moment, they're running a special on their gold packages

check out Web Africa one of the better isp's out there and not to badly priced!
Awesome service though been with them for a few yrs now and have yet to be
disappointed by the service they give.

Check out Altech Technology Concepts have great offerings competing aggressively in this space with the usual suspects.
