Jeep Recon gets spied again with barely any camo
The Jeep Recon is launching next year, and we've already seen it in a few spy shots earlier this month. Now it's time for two more spy shots, showing us the Recon with barely any camo at all - which makes us think Jeep had this thing driving around a lot in the hopes someone would capture it and turn up the hype.
So here we are then. The Recon is promised to stay true to the legacy of the legendary Wrangler with its off-road prowess. The Recon will have removable doors and windows too.
The Recon will have almost 600 hp, a range of about 600 km, a 0 to 97 km/h time of 3.5 seconds and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds. It uses the STLA Large platform like the Wagoneer S and the Dodge Charger Daytona.

Jeep will take the Grand Cherokee off sale in Europe this year – and the Wrangler is also potentially in the firing line.
The moves come as Jeep continues its push of new EVs, with the all-electric Wagoneer S – a similar size to the Grand Cherokee – next to arrive, at the end of this year.
Eric Laforge, who has led the brand in Europe for the past two years, confirmed to Autocar at the Brussels motor show that a switch in Jeep’s model range will take place when the Wagoneer S arrives.
Such a move makes sense, given that Jeep’s volumes lie in smaller models in Europe, such as the Avenger. This means offering two large SUVs is unnecessary, and of those two, the Wagoneer S will better help contribute to CO2 and EV sales targets because it is all-electric.
A similar scenario could also play out for the Wrangler when the Recon EV is launched, because both are hardcore 4x4 models with similar positioning.
“That’s not decided at the moment, but Recon will be a strong alternative to Wrangler,” said Laforge. “The Recon is a small brother to the Wrangler and can do a lot off road, although the king of the mountains remains the Wrangler.”

The moves come as Jeep continues its push of new EVs, with the all-electric Wagoneer S – a similar size to the Grand Cherokee – next to arrive, at the end of this year.

Jeep Wagoneer S Limited brings down the price, but full power costs extra
Jeep is shaking up its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the 2025 Wagoneer S Limited. This new base model offers a more accessible entry point into the world of Wagoneers, although with a few key differences compared to the launch edition. While it has a lower price tag, some of the horsepower is locked behind a future over-the-air (OTA) update.
The 2025 Wagoneer S Limited starts at €60,377, including destination charges. The Limited model delivers 500 horsepower, a significant 100 horsepower less than the Launch Edition's 600 hp.
This missing output isn't gone forever, though. Jeep plans to offer a "Propulsion Boost Package" as an OTA update later in the 2025 model year. This package will unlock the remaining 100 horsepower, bringing the Limited up to the Launch Edition's power level. This is similar to other luxury automakers, like Mercedes-Benz, which offers performance boosts for its EQ models via subscriptions or one-time purchases. Jeep hasn't announced pricing for its boost package.
Even without it though, the Wagoneer S Limited still offers impressive performance. It has 710 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h in under four seconds. While slightly slower than the Launch Edition's 3.4-second sprint, it's still a rapid SUV. Both models share a top speed of 200 km/h.
The Wagoneer S Limited is equipped with a 100.5-kWh battery, providing an estimated range of 473 km on a full charge, slightly less than the Launch Edition's EPA-rated 488 km. A DC fast charger can bring the battery from 20% to 80% in just 23 minutes. A short 10-minute charge adds about 161 km of range.
