Things have very temporarily calmed down as China ramped up coal imports from Russia (up 70%) because China refuse to import coal from Australia to exert geopolitical pressure. All because Australia called for a probe into where the Coronavirus came from :D

Once the temporal issue with power is resolved in China, it's back on the menu!
Do you know how many countries border China, and China has border issues with all of them?

India, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Laos, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, North Korea etc

It's not outlying behaviour for China to take what isn't theirs.

Lol, then I got news for you. You think light that enter our atmosphere that comes from the sun is a straight line, think again. Light gets refracted even scattered. Which is why it is called "index of refraction". Additionally gravity also bends light, scientists have also been able to bend light to follow a curvature.

You do know you can refract a laser by pointing it at a mirror.......Technically if you have a couple of low orbit mirrors that can be adjusted you could hit any spot in the world with in an inch.However it is slightly problematic as light leaves the earth the upper atmosphere is less dense which means it bend naturally as it leaves the earth, same reason why you have refraction in water, when light hits the water, it is slightly refracted, every spear fisherman knows this.With the use of mirrors and angled correctly you can refract light to form a perfect circle. Because we know that light can be refracted and we know the laws of physics, we are only limited by out technical knowledge.

You not actually breaking the laws of physics, but you can "bend" them. I love the pun.

Whilst you could do that, you lose so much energy as the laser goes through dust and the like that you'll need to add a couple of Kw to the laser.
 
China is one of three countries (US, Russia the other two) who have hypersonics. Not sure what you mean by unleashed.
Slight correction. Only China and Russia have working hypersonic missiles. The US is still working on theirs. Their recent tests all failed.

So how many mirrors will they need to shoot down incoming hypersonic missiles that can travel at 5, 7, 10 times the speed of sound and that changes direction all the time?
 
A long way from Sstar Wars - no way to stop a hypersonic missile, that is the reality. It is mystifying that the world even allows stockpiling of nuclear missiles. The united snakes started this ****.

lol Um this laser will pretty much obliterate any thing in it's path, it is a given, given that it effectively moves at the speed of light if, if it does lose engery, I would be surprised that is more then 1%. You have light at various spectrums traveling trillions of miles from galaxies far away to reach earth, millions of years later mostly unhindered, dust, gravity, blackholes ect, you would think a little atmosphere where it needs to travel 1 trillionth of the distance would suddenly stop in it tracks.

This pretty much a supped up laser to start with.

Yeah, but there isn't dust and atmosphere in space. The light travels millions of years and then doesn't penetrate down to ocean floor either.. Same concept. Also, it doesn't obliterate anything, it focusses on a spot and heats it up until it renders the incoming ordnance inoperative. It doesn't shoot through things like they do in Star Wars.

Lol. It wasn't actually a question. Just trying to get you to realise that light loses some energy going through dust.

You see those dark spots, on the picture you posted, those are the spots where the light of an actual star couldn't make it through the dust. Now you wanna shine a laser through the atmosphere and expect no losses? And I'm dense?

EDIT: You know what. I'm just gonna leave these here to deal with your "obliterates everything in it's path", so you can learn how these things actually work, then I'm out of this thread. I don't lack enough self respect to play chess with a pigeon.

It doesn't matter how fast the light of the laser travels, the US doesn't have the capacity to track a hypersonic missile yet.

You do know what light actually is ?

These lasers obviously don’t have same energy and wavelength as visible light. Think x-rays

Unless Boeing have sold them a giant flashlight
