I see unmetred "night owl" from midnight to 7am is now a feature.....

Streamers are going to be hit harder by these new policies.. downloaders will be happier.

Maybe Telkom convinced Netflix to make downloads possible :whistling:

Fair usage is fair but it should go with a fair warning period too. They shouldn't be allowed to implement changes with immediate effect. :(

My integrated sim dies just after 7pm , not sure if it's the same throttling as with uncapped or my tower is just congested ...

Pretty sure this is fixed line uncapped adsl customers only..

Wouldn't mind night surfer though. Being able to do the odd 50gb game download over night without destroying my daily 10gb limit is really the only thing i miss about DSL. I'd rather have that than the 50gb daytime p2p portion.

Problem is if you use your "daily 10gb limit” continuously you'll end up throttled well into the following month. Check the section about Level 3 - 100% of FUP.

This policy is complete bs.

They're essentially halving the current "fair usage" limits unilaterally without any recourse for customers.

I really wish we had some semblance of a consumer protection body in this country. Going to the ASA or CCCSA yields no results even though they're basically saying "now you can have as much as 50% of what we told you you'd get the last time we decided to change our minds".

Where is the legal recourse?? What company can say one thing and do another and still expect its customers to be happy about the lack of service they receive? Who do we go to?

F**k Telkom.

I doubt these changes apply to LTE.

For ADSL your options of good deals and versatility are endless, you shouldn't be on any long term adsl contract period.

Stick to LTE here please.

I still want to know what is Telkom's threshold for ADSL uncapped accounts? Why is this threshold not obvious and clear anywhere???

To me this is starting to sound more like a CAPPED package than UNCAPPED.
