New M3 range

Interesting take from a videographer/photographers view.

R80 000 and in 5 years it will be worth R10k, if it isnt broken and then a piece of scrap.

Quite honestly, do you really need it?

Invest that R80k and in 5 years it would probably be about R150-200k in value.

Just saying.

lol very unlikely a MacBook will loose 87.5% of its value in 5 years. Also, with inflation and the economy as it is R80000 will probably be worth in nominal terms between R150 -200k but in real terms he would have lost and the amount might not get in an equivalent machine say an M8 max MacBook. Assume they are buying it because they need it to be productive. In a year’s time it pays for itself and gives them surplus to upgrade to the M4 max.

I do not upgrade my iphone or MacBook every year. That is because I do not need it but I am always uncomfortable with people who make assumptions that pple who do so are financially irresponsible.

But...but...I can't run my fingers over an investment like I would over the Space Black finish of an M3 Mac
